Welcome to our farm, located on the west edge of Custer County, near Arnold, in central Nebraska. Beautiful lush Nebraska Sandhills just a few miles to the north, fertile farm ground and great hard land pasture to our south, puts us right in the middle of livestock and row crop farm country. Centered on land that goes back four generations, we make forage production our centerpiece.

Eric grew up on the land we farm now. From a very young age he shared time with his grandpa, John Nelson, in the fields making small square bales for local farmers, and also the horses that his grandpa John raised. Riding beside John on the fender of a open station John Deere 3010 tractor, powering a John Deere 336 small square baler, he learned the patience and attention it takes to make the best of the opportunities given to make quality hay. On a larger scale now, we produce forage that we sell locally, and across many states, as well as feed to our own horses and cattle.

Seed variety selection is carefully thought through, to ensure the intensive management style we utilize provides the best forage quality to harvest. Equipment types, water management, timely cutting schedules, patience and pro-activeness for baling, the best help, and a lot of luck from mother nature, all ensure the best quality forage is gathered and stored perfectly, to be passed on to livestock through the buyer. We understand that buyers of high quality forage put in the same time and care of their livestock, and that important care and effort put into our forage is appreciated by the end user. Our management style has been proven, with the sale of our forage having a final destination in twenty-eight different states.
